You may come to New River Aesthetics for aesthetic treatment, but because ours is also a dermatology practice, the staff may identify underlying factors or other medical conditions that are causing your skin problems. Our physician and nurses can take those conditions into account when evaluating which aesthetic procedures may be of more benefit to you, rather than just choosing a procedure that may be the most popular of the day. They can also tell you if your condition requires additional treatment or a different treatment than you are seeking.

Dr. Daniel Hurd is the only board certified dermatologist in the New River Valley and points west in Virginia. He and his staff at New River Aesthetics will listen to your concerns, evaluate your skin, and recommend the most appropriate course of treatment for getting the results you want.

Dr. Hurd is board certified by the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. He has studied under world-renowned dermatologic and Mohs skin cancer surgeons and laser specialists and has received numerous national awards for his medical lectures and research. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
